Born to Lou and Janice Voit, Luke is the older of their three children. Luke has a sister Kate Voit and brother John Voit. John played defensive tackle for the Army Black Knights football team. While growing up, Luke and John used to fight a lot, smiling he reminisces, being 4 years older than John, he always had the upper hand. To this, his brother John says, he loved every second of it. Voit agreed to give up his number to Gerrit Cole who has always worn the number 45 and decided to wear the number 59. Announcing the same, Luke tweeted, on 18th December 2018, "I’m going to wear #59 to honor my brother!" It was John's college football number at West Point during his captainship of the football team. Later he attended Missouri State University and played college baseball for four years. After his senior year Voit was selected by the St Louis Cardinals where he started his professional baseball career. After playing games for four years, the Cardinals promoted Voit to the major leagues on 25 th June 2017. After that he didn't have to look back.

This is the classic story of a high school star player and a cheerleader. Luke and Tory met in 2015 as they both attended Lafayette High School. Both connected instantly and in 2017 they made it official by their engagement. On 15th December 2018, they got married in a beautiful ceremony blessed by their family and friends at the stone house of St Charles in St. Louis.
Though Luke and Tori went to Lafayette High School, Tori opted for the University of Iowa for her higher studies. She is a teacher at Oakland Elementary School, where she reaches fifth grade.
