The former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback has an armload of records and awards that would put most professional ballplayers to shame. After his retirement, Peyton devoted his life to philanthropy and has donated to various charities and hospitals. His marriage also seems to be perfect. But is everything as it seems? Peyton Manning’s wife Ashley Thompson was born on 2 December 1974, in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. At high school, due to her involvement in charity work, she was inducted into the prestigious Ascensus Society.
Ashley went on to the University of Virginia and majored in Finance and Marketing, graduating in 1997. She is an entrepreneur and businesswoman, who owns a real estate development company and co-owns an NBA team, the Memphis Grizzlies.
Ashley met Peyton in the summer of 1993 when she was introduced to him by her parents' next-door neighbor. It was the summer before Manning's freshman year in college.
The two began a long-distance relationship which eventually culminated into a marriage on 17 March 2001.

Ashley and Peyton have twins, a son named Marshall Williams Manning and a daughter named Mosley Thompson Manning, born on March 31, 2011.

Peyton Manning dated Sarah Egnaczyk, during their early days of college. It was most probably before he decided to date Ashley. Sarah Egnaczyk was a field hockey player at Boston College and is better known as Matt Hasselbeck’s wife, whom she married in 2000.
Peyton was rumored to be dating an Indianapolis area television meteorologist named Angela Buchman between 2009 and 2011. She was also photographed at multiple events with Peyton and his wife. This gave rise to the suspicion that Peyton was in an open marriage. It was also suggested that Angela was being paid off to keep quiet about the affair.
There are also some rumors floating around the Internet that he was seen receiving sexual favors from two NFL cheerleaders inside a car, outside of the Superdome in Louisiana, due to which a team flight in Atlanta got delayed. However, these rumors have never been proven.

In 1996, Peyton was accused of sexual assault by his trainer Jamie Ann Naughright, while he was at the University of Tennessee. Reportedly, he pressed his genitals against Naughright's face during a foot examination. Peyton claimed he was “mooning”, that is, showing off his buttocks to another athlete in the room as a prank when Naughtright had bent over to examine him. However, both Naughtright and the other athlete denied this story. Naughright settled with the university for $300000 for its alleged failure in four incidents and resigned from the school. She also made a list of 33 complaints about the school.
In 2000, Peyton authored a book with his father which covered their lives and careers. In the book, Peyton wrote about Naughright, stating she had a "vulgar mouth". In 2002, Naughtright sued Peyton and three other parties for defamation. In 2003, there was an undisclosed settlement and a court-ordered gag on Manning and Naughright from ever talking about the settlement or to each other again.
In 2015, Al Jazeera released a documentary that showed Peyton buying human growth hormone in 2011 under his wife’s name. Peyton denied that he was using the drugs, and instead claimed the drugs were meant for his wife who used them to prevent aging. After numerous lawsuits and a seven-month investigation, the Mannings were finally cleared.
