Stefon's parents are Stefanie Diggs and Aron Diggs. His father Aron Diggs died in January 2008 at the age of 39 because of congestive heart failure. Stefon took up the role of taking care of his mother Stefanie, his sister Porche Green and his brothers Trevon and MarSean (Darez )when he was just 14 years old. Stefon and his brother Trevon would play knee football together while growing up. Stefon attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Montgomery County, Maryland where he played football and run track. He was ranked number 13 prospect in the nation in the class of 2012 by ESPN. He recorded 810 yards receiving with 23 touchdowns as a junior in 2010. Stefon was a runner-up for the Gatorade Maryland player of the year. As a senior, he recorded 770 yards receiving and 8 touchdowns. In recognition of his efforts, he was a first-team All-Metro selection at wide receiver by the Washington Post and All-County selection Montgomery Gazzette.
Following his senior session, he was named MVP of the US Army -American Junior combined in 2011 and was invited to play in the 2012 US Army ALL- American bowl.
