Meet Ryan Newman

Ryan Joseph Newman, nicknamed "Rocket Man", is an American professional stock car racing driver. NASCAR fans surely know the man who sits behind the wheel of the No. 6 Ford Mustang for Roush Fenway Racing. Known for his almost invisible neck and an armload of trophies, the 43-year-old from Indiana just came back on track after his horrific crash last year. Ryan Newman met his future wife Krissie, who was working as a judge’s clerk, on a blind date in 2001. It was set up by her grandmother and a friend from church. After lengthy phone conversations, the couple went on their first date. After three years of dating, they got married on January 3rd, 2004. Subsequently, the newlyweds went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for their honeymoon before the racing season started.

Ryan Newman’s wife Krissie Newman was born Krissie N. Boyle on October 28, 1977, in Vernon, New Jersey.
She graduated from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Criminal Justice Pre-Law. After college, she moved to North Carolina, where she worked at Mecklenburg County Criminal Courts as a courtroom clerk, as well as a paralegal for a criminal attorney.
After her marriage, Krissie got heavily involved with charity work. She has been called the First Lady of NASCAR by multiple people due to her work with multiple organizations. This includes delivering cat and dog food to animal shelters, even waiting tables and organizing trucks to ensure the food is delivered and raising funds for various humane organizations.
More, Ryan Newman’s wife Krissie serves as Executive Director at the Ryan Newman Foundation and runs the Ryan Newman Motorsports. When Ryan was racing for Stewart-Haas, Krissie used to bake cookies for the team regularly.

The couple has two daughters; Brooklyn Sage Newman, born on November 18, 2010, and Ashlyn Olivia Newman, born on July 16, 2012.

On February 13, 2020, Ryan and Krissie jointly announced on Twitter that they had decided to “amicably separate” after 16 years of marriage. They said they would be raising their daughters and running Rescue Ranch, their animal rescue organization, jointly, and also remain friends.

On February 17, 2020, four days after Ryan broke up with Krissie, he suffered a terrible crash during the final lap of the Daytona 500. It was reported that one of the major reasons he survived was the “Newman Bar”, a safety feature introduced by NASCAR in 2009, after Ryan campaigned for improved car safety.
His ex-wife, Krissie, was watching the race, and moments after his crash tweeted “Omg”. There were various reactions to her reaction, the majority of which asked her to get back with Ryan. Coincidentally, she had tweeted that she was "praying for a safe race" just hours before his crash. We wonder, was Krissie’s reaction sufficient.
There were also no reports about her being at Ryan’s side at the hospital. Thankfully, Ryan made a full recovery and raced again in May 2020.
