Oshie is as we all know the overnight star ice hockey player of the NHL. This giant of a man has been a Washington dweller since childhood and was, unfortunately, a child of divorce. Initially, Oshie lived with his mom and then moved in with his dad to Minnesota and it was here that the teenaged Oshie rose to fame by cinching several championships! Oshie's childhood however had probably been a lively and exciting one with his sizeable family. To this day, Oshie remains close to his three siblings and parents showing us that family bonds never die. And speaking of family, Oshie is currently married to his long-time sweetheart Lauren Cosgrove! Fun fact about Oshie is that his nickname "T.J" was actually derived from a character from the movie, "The Champ" by his mom!

Lauren Cosgrave, Oshie's hometown sweetheart is a Missouri native who evidently loves fast food and has a Krispy Kreme addiction. This blonde belle looks to be family-oriented and also a tad bit afraid of the paparazzi. Despite her tendency to fear the media, however, the twenty-six-year-old has embraced the popular social networks that have cast upon her. With a whopping 160 thousand followers on Instagram and 70 thousand followers on Twitter, Cosgrove documents her life for her beloved followers on a daily basis. The young mother is apparently a fitness freak and a fast-food junkie, who constantly engages in silly banter with her sister on social media. Just like her husband, Cosgrove too appears to be quite close to her family, as proven by her interactions wither sister on social media.
Lauren Cosgrove rose to fame after her relationship with Oshie surfaced. The athlete notorious for his performance at the Sochi games became an overnight celebrity, and his fame shed light on the then-pregnant Cosgrove.
Ever since this blonde bombshell has been boosting her Instagram and Twitter followers and has become a self-declared social media celebrity. She uses her pages @lauren.oshie (Instagram) and @laurencosgrove3 (Twitter) to update her followers with news from the 'Oshie family'. The young star presumably alerts her 160k followers with fun selfies, family pictures, and most of all fun Halloween costumes!

Oshie met Cosgrove back in 2011 at college. Coincidentally, Cosgrove had arrived at Oshie's university in North Dakota to meet a friend, and then by chance the two and met. The rest is history. This chance meeting led to a romance that took the public by storm and is still going strong.

After a courtship of three years, the couple got engaged in 2014. Now, Oshie's proposal was so romantic it was borderline cheesy. He had first tried to get his dog to do it for him, but then that hadn't worked out so he simply decided to go with the flow. In his own words, "I wanted to do it before I left for Sochi, so I just did it in our kitchen. I think I might have made her mad. I told her to put a different ring I bought her on her ring finger. She said, 'No that (finger) is for a wedding ring' and she kind of walked off. I said, 'Like this one!' She kind of paused and turned around. She was silent. I had to ask her a couple of times because she wasn't saying anything." The Oshie-Cosgrove wedding had been just as romantic as the proposal, and the bride looked radiant in a white lace dress, and Oshie himself looked dapper in a black tux. However, the most adorable part of all may have been, when their little daughter, Lyla (who was barely two at the time) herself walked her father down the aisle.

The couple has three children together. They met way back in 2011, and their oldest child was born back in March 2014. One year later the couple were married and soon welcoming their second daughter Leni Rose Oshie in 2016. Oshie was unfortunately forced to overcome several obstacles where their oldest Lyla Grace Oshie had to have surgery for "Gastroschisis". Now however both Lyla and Leni Oshie are doing fine, and later, the family moved to a house they just built in Minnesota. The pair again blessed with their son Campbell Richard Oshie in March 2020. The family is doing great and just moved to a new house. Cosgrove apparently loves to coordinate hers and her husband's Halloween costumes!

According to contract details, T.J. Oshie signed an 8 years contract worth $46 million with an annual average salary of $5.75 million with the Washington Capitals.
