Rahul Sharad Dravid (born 11 January 1973) is a former Indian cricketer and captain of the Indian Test and One Day International teams. Dravid was honored as one of the top-five Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 2000. Dravid was also awarded the ICC Player of the Year and the Test Player of the Year at the inaugural awards ceremony held in 2004. Dravid also holds the record of having taken the most number of catches in Test matches.

- Rahul and Vijeta have known each other since childhood. They lived in Nagpur at the same time and were good friends. They Married on 4th December 2003 in a traditional Maharashtrian wedding that took place at the Border Security Force (BSF) Training Centre, on the outskirts of Bangalore.
- The couple had their first son, Samit in 2005, and their second son, Anvay in 2009. They are living a blissful and happy married life. Rahul is known for his class and gentleness.
