He is well known for his aggressive batting, controlled bowling & athletic fielding. He started playing when he was a kid. He grew in Khulna, Bangladesh.
- Shakib married Umme Ahmed Shishir, a Bangladeshi American in December 2012. The couple met each other in 2011 while Shakib was playing county cricket for Worcestershire in England. Shakib and his wife Shishir married on the magic date 12-12-12 at a five-star hotel. They had their first daughter Alayna Hasan Aubrey in November 2015.
