Ryan Timothy Tannehill (born July 27, 1988) is an American football quarterback for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas A&M. The Miami Dolphins selected him with the eighth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He was considered one of the top quarterback prospects in his class.

Ryan Tannehill was born in Lubbock, Texas, but grew up in Big Spring, Texas. He attended Big Spring High School, where he played high school football, high school basketball, and ran on the track and field team. Tannehill redshirted his first season (2007) at Texas A&M after turning down offers from the University of Houston, TCU, Tulsa, and UTEP. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology in May 201 and had planned to become an orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee injuries.
The 26-year-old Lauren Tannehill was born Lauren Ashley Ufer in Atlanta. She is the only daughter and eldest child of John and Nancy Ufer. Ryan Tannehill's wife has two younger brothers, Jordan and Dillon.
Lauren Tannehill attended Texas A&M along with his husband. She graduated from that university in May 2010 with a major in Communications and a minor in Psychology. In her early day, Ryan Tannehill's wife played Tennis and was a cheerleader, she works at as a nurse in the medical field as a cardiology assistant for a doctor at her hometown. Lauren wants to pursue is her career in modeling. Lauren Tannehill has done some modeling work, perhaps most notably becoming the face of Levinson Jewelers.
Though the couple studied in the same university, Lauren and Ryan met in 2009 in Panama City, Florida on spring break. After getting engaged in May 2011, they got married in Mexico on January 13, 2012. "Our first conversations were funny and deep and we both shared that we loved the Lord from the beginning," she said in a September 2011 interview with an online blogger in their college town. "I knew he was the one by three months into the relationship."
Ryan and his wife Lauren are committed to their faith and families. They own a condo at a private yacht club off 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale. They bought the $650,000 condo with a boat slip in August 2012, property records show.
